Shocking Disparity in GP Cover across England

New figures uncovered by the Liberal Democrats reveal the disparity of GP services across the country.
Department of Health figures show that, on average, English Primary Care Trusts (PCT) have 52 GPs per 100,000 patients. But Milton Keynes has just 48.
Neighbouring PCTs fare better: Aylesbury Vale 53, North-East Oxfordshire 55, Oxford City 53, South-East Oxfordshire 58, South-West Oxfordshire 53, Bedford Town 53, Bedfordshire 52.
Commenting on the figures Jane Carr, Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for North-East Milton Keynes, said:
"Once again Milton Keynes is missing out. The Labour Government has underfunded our PCT for years, and we have less doctors than our population requires."
