Milton Keynes Council has given the thumbs-up for constructing the first purpose built stand-alone nursery for families living at Kents Hill and the surrounding areas.
On 8th February, Councillor Sandra Clark, cabinet member for children and young people, cut the first turf to mark the occasion.
The new nursery is to be located on Birdip Lane, within the site boundary of Kents Hill School. It is due to be completed in mid-July to cater for up to 39 children per session. Deejak Contractors, who recently built Oxley Park Primary School and the last phase of Shenley Brook End Secondary School, are constructing this new nursery.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Sandra Clark said: "This nursery demonstrates our commitment to providing adequate nursery places for families. We are confident that this new facility will be a real asset to the local community."
