Peter Jones, new LibDem PPC for Milton Keynes South
The Liberal Democrats in Milton Keynes South constituency have just selected Peter Jones as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC).
MK South Lib Dems "hustings" meeting unanimously selected Peter Jones. Peter gave a keynote speech focusing on the main issues facing voters at the forthcoming General Election. He highlighted that he was keen to be back meeting the electorate in Milton Keynes, where he stood as the PPC for the old constituency of Milton Keynes South West at the 1997 General Election.
Jill Hope congratulates Peter Jones
Immediately after his selection, Peter Jones said: "I am delighted to be back in Milton Keynes as the PPC. I have fond memories of meeting the residents of both the old towns like Bletchley and the new city. My work brings me here regularly and I really enjoy the can-do nature of the city. I will be working closely with the PPC for the new North constituency, Jill Hope, to ensure that the Lib Dems campaign right across Milton Keynes."
Local Party Chair, Sam Potts, expressed his delight that Peter Jones is back in MK: "Peter Jones is a very strong campaigner and did much to lay the foundations for the Lib Dem victory in taking control of the Council in 2002. We are all delighted to welcome him back as a key campaigner."
