Wolverton ward covers a large diverse area on the North West edge of Milton Keynes. It is a mix of old and new and stretches from Wolverton Mill in the West to New Bradwell in the East, the village of Old Wolverton in the North to Bradwell Abbey in the South. As well as the railway town of Wolverton, it also the early Development Corporation estates Greenleys, Hodge Lea and Stacey Bushes. Wolverton ward has around 6,200 homes, 14,000 residents, 8 schools. It has industrial estates in Old Wolverton, Wolverton Mill, Stonebridge, Stacey Bushes and Bradwell Abbey as well as in Wolverton itself where the original Railway Works is in active use. There is a significant business presence, with around 12% of those within Milton Keynes. It is disected in the North by the scenic river Great Ouse as well as by the A5 Trunk Road, the Grand Union Canal and the West Coast Main Rail Line.
