An Novel Guide to Council Services

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 28th Mar 2006

A new guide designed to provide quick reference for the main council services has been produced by the Council.

Shaped in the form of a wheel, the guide is an essential reference for anyone wanting to access contact details of council services relating to everyday issues such as advice and benefits, education and learning, community and living, democracy, health and social care, leisure and culture, streetcare, housing, and transport.

It also features information about Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust, covering the various routes for healthcare available to the public before going to the Hospital's Accident and Emergency Department.

The wheel will be rolling out to every house in Milton Keynes, delivered with the latest leaflet on recycling which has been subsidised by central government.

Liberal Democrat council leader Isobel McCall was full of praise for the wheel: "It is easy to use, it can be fastened to a pin-board or your fridge door, and it covers our most popular services. With over one hundred services available to the public, the need to find the right number has never been higher. Most people will find it very useful, with its wealth of information. I recommend it."
